The Live for Speed UK Kart Meet 2010 is about to begin! People are already on their travels from all over Europe to [SR] Turkey's house in Wales. It will then be a full weekend of Karting, Live for Speeding, drinking and BBQ's :)

You can follow what is happening on our Facebook page, with pictures and video's uploaded throughout the weekend.

You might also hear some live interviews from the event itself during the IGTC race on the live stream.

Last years event was the biggest in LFS history, with over 31 people attending (including LFS developer Victor). Unlike other Kart meets, everyone stays together t...

21st Jul 2010 1:42 pm Neil Conway joins the Full Team!

newracer

Neil Conway, aka [SR] Neil, has been promoted to the full team. Neil is originally from Ireland but now lives in England. Neil has been in the trial team for a while now but has improved steadily and proved he is a great guy to have in the team. Welcome to SR Neil!

[SR] Neil's comments - Really chuffed to join the team, thanks folks :)

Looking forward to improving, trying new combos, racing against tough but sensible opposition and maybe even beating some of my fellow geriatrics on the team :-p

Doing more league races would also be fun. You're a good bunch and I'm proud to wear the tag!

8th Jul 2010 3:53 pm Travy’s MNR Aussie Adventures

xx

For Aussies playing LFS, racing against a full grid usually means driving at silly hours and hoping you don’t get taken out by lag.  Fortunately Monday Night Racing exists, and as the only LFS league running in Australia now sees two full servers each race.

After a FOX, and then an NGT championship earlier in the year, Monday Night Racing’s latest offering was the MRT Meltdown series, and [SR] Travy Wavy duly took to the track for the series of mostly sprint races.  Aston Cadet, a challenge for all due to the corkscrew, proved Travy’s worst round, despite taking 3rd in race 1, but South City Classic would see him win the round, making a charg...

4th Jul 2010 6:06 pm [SR] Gasser takes double victory in MR2 Racing Series!

xx

Alex Gassman, aka [SR] Gasser, takes part in the MR2 Racing Series. Report taken from Alex's site.

June 20th 2010: Castle Combe, the third round of the 2010 season. Alex hadn’t driven the track for a couple of years but after one lap of qualifying it all came back to him. He found some clear track and managed to continue his run of being the fastest qualifier, taking his third pole position of the season (from three meetings)

Race 1 and Alex lined up on the front row next to his Celtic Energy teammate Adam Lockwood. They both got a very even start but their other teammate, Ross Stoner, got a brilliant launch from the second row of the grid and was ahead coming into Quarry. However, he got it very sideways but just managed to hold onto it, in the process he lost...

4th Jul 2010 12:48 pm IGTC 2010 - Round 4 3rd July, Westhill International

igtc

This race would see SR try to improve on 2nd place in the overall standings. Racing for SR would be the familiar Jason Lovett and GTR debutant Rudolf Rood.

Jason did qualifying, coming in a respectable 7th place. Jason also started the race, and had a good stint, but after 52 minutes the safety car was called out, and we decided to stay out. This would prove to be a defining moment in the race as Inferno, in the XRR car like us, decided to pit under the safety car, coming out in 9th but a pitstop ahead of us. By the time we pitted, we were too far behind to catch them.

Rudolf took the 2nd stint in his first ever Endurance Race, and drove incredibly well, matching Jason's pac...

SR's Sebastian Hutchinson has won the biggest Oval event of the year. From being a lap down around halfway through the race, Seb did an amazing drive to take the win in dramatic fashion!

3 laps before the end, Seb was in 2nd place with Liane Solfrank, then the safety car was called. Then it was a crazy 3 way race in the final lap when the flag went green, and Welshman Sebastian Hutchinson came out the winner. Congrats and well done!

Race comments (Or, just my essay of the race Blush ) -
Well, what an eventful race! I started off 6th and managed to get to the front within the first lap or so with Dan Sanger (Pretty much my team-mate for the race). I then had a l...

[SR] Cropsy's comments - I can't say I'm a fan of this track, but it went better than expected despite having my first race with ballast and a hangover.

I had a poor start - from 9th - I was pretty slow reacting when the lights went green, allowing Dadge to pull up along side me and pass at T1. However, I took that position back and gained another after Dadge and Kamo had a small coming together at T1 a lap later.

I decided to go for a pit early on rather than get into a fight with the pack ahead or behind me. I came out in last, 14 seconds behind Jokelainen. Shortly after K...
